The BMW & MINI Cooper Connected Apps are an extension of the onboard navigation systems within the vehicles. Over the course of an entire year the visual language of the 2 brands required much refining and documenting. Each style, component, and pattern was reexamined and redefined to fit the high quality standards the BMW and MINI Cooper require for their customers. The 2 brands are built on the same digital platform so the challenge was to create a Visual language that work independently for each brand yet still share the same code base on the backend.
